Turkish pentathlon athlete Ilke Ozyuksel, who participated in the Rio Olympic 2016, is working hard make to the 2020 Olympic Games. The 23- year-old, being the first-ever in her category to represent Turkey at the 2016 Games works at least eight hours to get qualified.
She added “I aspire to join the Olympic 2020 Games. I work for eight hours minimum every day. Normally I was not busy at weekends but nowadays I am busier and I don’t take a rest the holder of seven world records told Anadolu Agency. We usually prepare for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other days are busy with training”.
She said “I was without a coach and I was about to leave sports. I also was bad at horse riding. I trained at horse riding for five hours a day. I worked hard and it was a different feeling to compete in the Olympic 2020. This was a very difficult record because the previous record holder set this record on a short track.”
Her determination has steeled her desire to medal in Tokyo where she said she will fight to make a top-end. Ozyuksel said she faced difficulties while preparing for the Rio Games. When asked about breaking the world record in laser-run stages at the 2019 European Modern Pentathlon Championships in England, she told that she has been trying to set this record for years.
Ozyuksel said her best score was 25 seconds. She was happy to break the record but was very upset she did not earn quota. All the Modern Pentathlon Athletes are trying to work hard for the placement in the Olympic 2020. It will be better for every modern pentathlon athletics to prepare for the Olympic 2020.
